Yo ho ho, Merry Christmas all (Happy Holiday to our state-side friends!).
Urbanite's very own Santa has been a busy boy of late, speaking to those lovely people at Apple to get each and everyone of you a fantastic Christmas present.
Unfortunately, his first request for a nice new iMac was rejected. Ditto the 60gb iPod with video playback. Bah humbug.
He went straight the boss. (SJ not JC)
"Well, Mr Jobs", he asked, "is there any chance that music from the home of Manchester online music, Urbanite, could finally be available through iTunes? The people of the world would surely then lay down their arms and live in complete harmony?"
"Nice one, Santa", said Mr Jobs, "thought you'd never ask, pal. Have they got any ACR as well?" With a sprinkle of magic dust, Mr Jobs, converted a plethora of heartwarming songs into a lovely AAC format and put them on the shelves of his iTunes shop.
The moral of this tale is, there isn't one; it was only a matter of time and who knows - if Santa wishes hard enough, Tribeca might record something new in time for next Christmas.
